Terms and Conditions
Last updated: May 18, 2026
1. Definitions
- VOUWA ("the Service", "the Platform"): a SaaS platform for creating digital wedding invitations.
- Couple ("the User", "the Administrator"): the person(s) who create and manage a wedding on the platform.
- Guest: the person who receives and interacts with the digital invitation.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By registering and using VOUWA, the Couple fully accepts these Terms and Conditions. Use of the Service is subject to this acceptance.
3. Description of the Service
VOUWA provides:
- A personalized web page for the wedding invitation
- RSVP management and guest list
- Table and seating management
- Gift list and contributions
- Countdown, timeline, map, and other features
- Administrative panel for the couple
- Vendor collaboration pages reachable via unique links (content and comments posted under that feature)
- Wishlist / gift registry entries that may reference images and URLs on third-party sites or CDNs; resources may load directly between the user’s browser and those domains
- Optional installation of the invitation on the user’s device (web app / Add to Home Screen), subject to browser and OS capabilities
- Organization-based access for venues or wedding planners when enabled by the platform operator: access only to assigned weddings, with per-member roles
- A public contact request form for industry professionals; data is used to assess a possible commercial relationship, as described in the Privacy Policy
Organizations and industry professionals
When agreed, venue or planner teams may be granted access only to weddings linked to their organization. Permissions and duration are set by the platform operator. Submitting the contact form does not by itself constitute a contract.
4. Account and Responsibility
- The Couple is responsible for the security of their access credentials.
- The Couple is responsible for all uploaded content (text, photos, information).
- The Couple warrants that they have the right to publish uploaded content.
- The Couple agrees not to use the Service for unlawful purposes.
5. User-Generated Content
- VOUWA is not responsible for content generated by users (guests), including but not limited to: messages, photos shared in the gallery, song suggestions.
- The Couple has the ability to moderate and remove inappropriate content through the admin panel.
- VOUWA reserves the right to remove content that violates the law or these Terms.
Vendor collaboration (Vendor Pages)
The Couple may create pages intended for external vendors, accessed via unique-token links. Content, comments, and invitations to recipients are the Couple’s responsibility, including rights and legality of shared materials. VOUWA may use an email provider for operational notifications when this capability is enabled.
Wishlist and third-party sites
Wishlist entries may include URLs and images hosted on third-party domains; VOUWA does not control or guarantee availability, accuracy, or privacy practices of external sites.
DJ playlist and third-party music services
The DJ playlist feature lets the Couple link setlists hosted on third-party streaming services (e.g. Spotify). VOUWA does not host, play, or stream copyrighted music: it only provides external links that open the provider’s app or website. Spotify and other services are independent third parties; playlist content, rights, and compliance are the Couple’s responsibility, as are song suggestions from guests.
Platform reviews and landing page
Couples and guests may submit reviews about VOUWA with explicit consent to publication. VOUWA moderates each review before it appears on the landing page: text, public display name, and optionally a photo (HTTPS URL or the invite’s Open Graph image). The Couple warrants they have the right to use the name and images shown. VOUWA may reject or remove content at any time. Removal requests: privacy@vouwa.com.
Device installation (PWA / shortcut)
The Couple’s guests may be offered Add-to-Home-Screen–style installation; strictly necessary cookies, local storage, and service workers may be used within browser limits.
6. Service Availability
- VOUWA strives to ensure maximum availability of the Service.
- VOUWA reserves the right to temporarily suspend the Service for:
- Security updates - Force majeure events
- In case of scheduled maintenance, we will make every effort to provide advance notice.
- VOUWA is not liable for damages arising from temporary service interruptions.
7. Intellectual Property
- The source code, design, logo, and "VOUWA" brand are the exclusive property of VOUWA.
- Content uploaded by the Couple (photos, text) remains the property of the Couple.
- The Couple grants VOUWA a limited license to display content within the scope of the Service.
8. Limitation of Liability
- VOUWA is provided "as-is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
- VOUWA is not responsible for:
- Data loss due to causes beyond our control - Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service - Errors or omissions in content entered by the Couple
9. Cancellation and Suspension
- The Couple may request account deletion at any time by writing to info@vouwa.com.
- VOUWA reserves the right to suspend or delete an account in case of:
- Abusive use of the Service - Fraudulent or illegal activity
10. Data Protection
Personal data processing is governed by our Privacy Policy.
Data is stored on servers in the European Union (Supabase, data centers in Germany and Ireland) in compliance with GDPR.
10.1 Guest data (GDPR roles)
For guests’ personal data (names, RSVP, dietary preferences, shared photos, seating, song suggestions, etc.) entered or collected via the digital invitation:
- The Couple using VOUWA is generally the data controller toward their guests (they determine purposes and means, including the legal basis toward guests).
- VOUWA processes that data as a data processor on behalf of the Couple, limited to operating the platform.
The Couple is responsible for:
- adequately informing guests (including via the notice provided at RSVP);
- handling guest access, rectification, or erasure requests;
- using collected data in compliance with applicable law.
Guests should contact the Couple to exercise their rights; for technical support they may email privacy@vouwa.com, subject to identity verification and coordination with the controller Couple.
11. Changes to Terms
VOUWA reserves the right to modify these Terms. Changes will be communicated through the Service. Continued use after modification constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Free trial (24 hours)
VOUWA offers a free trial from the landing page, lasting up to 24 hours from trial account creation.
- During the trial, platform features are enabled for demonstration purposes.
- Access uses an email in the format bridename+groomname@vouwa.com together with a password chosen by the user. This address is for login only and is not a personal mailbox operated by VOUWA.
- Users are informed that when the 24 hours end, data entered during the trial (wedding, guests, uploaded content, etc.) will be deleted automatically, unless the account is converted as below.
- The trial does not constitute a subscription contract and does not guarantee future availability of the service.
- For commercial information or to continue beyond the trial: info@vouwa.com.
- VOUWA may, at its discretion, confirm a trial account as a customer account: in that case the expiry does not apply and data is retained unless otherwise communicated.
Starting the trial requires acceptance of these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
